Spring 2020 Commencement Address: Arizona State University (ASU)

ASU President Michael Crow welcomes the #ASUgrad Class of 2020 and their families and friends to the university’s first-ever virtual commencement ceremony, as they join the ASU community to make history during the most special of annual traditions. Though the format is different, it does not diminish the pride felt in the accomplishments of our graduates or define the years of hard work, new experiences and great memories shared.

President Crow’s address touches on the university’s charter, his gratitude for the ASU community and the mentors who support student success, and a singular lesson we can learn from the global pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus: preparation is everything.
