In 2009, Formula One saw one of the most extraordinary championships in its history. Following Honda’s sudden withdrawal from F1, Nick Fry and Ross Brawn bought the team for £1 (plus all liabilities). Just thirteen weeks later, the newly-formed Brawn GP team won the first Grand Prix of the 2009 season, and would go on to win the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships.
In this talk, Nick Fry, the former CEO of Brawn GP and author of “Survive. Drive. Win”, discusses how he and Ross Brawn turned disaster into glory. He gives the inside track on the drivers, cars and rivalries between teams, and offers a unique and thrilling perspective on an elite global sport.
