Visit our website www.tedxberlin.de for more information on Yuliana Gorkorov. Yuliana Gorkorov, M.A., is a multilingual communication designer, graduate of the Folkwang University of the Arts (2017). Her knowledge of the Hebrew, Cyrillic, Latin and Arabic alphabets drove her to create the award winning «Global Alphabet» project. Within the project she designed fonts that unite these alphabets in different ways, making them simultaneously readable to people from different cultures. She presents the project in exhibitions and lectures around the world, giving a new perspective on letters that we use every day. Yuliana worked for several years as a graduate assistant at the Institute for Lifelong Learning of the Folkwang University. Currently she is working as an independent designer focusing on projects in the field of type design and the history of writing.
